Row Row Row the Boat

Row row row your boat gently down the stream,
merrily merrily merrily merrily,
life is but a dream.
Row row row your boat gently down the stream, if you see a crocodile, don’t forget to scream…
Row row row your boat gently down the river, if you see a polar bear don’t forget to shiver…
Row row row your boat gently to the shore, if you see a lioness don’t forget to roar…
Row row row your boat gently in the bath, if you see a spider there don’t forget to laugh…
Such a great action song. There are so many options for the kids, the little ones can sit on mummy’s lap, the older ones can sit opposite each other and row backwards and forwards.. and they all love to scream and roar! You can go fast and slow.. the other day we went to the sea and back, and then sometimes we see the crocodile ‘dans la rivière..‘
As ever there are lots of variations on the words, on wikipedia they have ‘throw your teacher overboard and listen to her scream’!!
